Cornell Architecture | 2023-2028
As an architecture student at Cornell, I focus on the intersection of space, power, and identity. I see architecture as a cultural and political practice, one that shapes how people live, gather, and care for one another.
My work centers on the idea that architecture must be accountable to the communities it serves. I am especially interested in design frameworks that balance user agency with architectural responsibility. This is most urgent in housing and public space, where architecture operates at both personal and infrastructural scales.
Materiality is a core part of how I think. I study materials not only for their environmental performance, but for how they carry social meaning and shape experience. I am drawn to materials that can challenge existing systems, reveal spatial hierarchies, and open new possibilities for ecological and civic life.
At Cornell, I have pursued projects and research in public interest design, educational infrastructure, and regional planning. My recent work includes a campus for physical rehabilitation, a sustainable teacher's institute in rural Nepal developed through direct collaboration with local communities, and a food pantry integrated with a local trail network. Across these efforts, I explore how design strategy, construction systems, and community partnerships can produce spatial outcomes that are both rigorous and transformative.
